DOEACC '0' LEVEL COURSE(Foundation/Junior Programmer Level)
Objective
The objective of the course is to enable a student to acquire the knowledge and skills pertaining to Information Technology (IT Tools and Business Systems, Internet Technology and Web design, Programming and Problem Solving through 'C', Application of .NET Technology/Introduction to Multimedia/Introduction to ICT Resources.

DOEACC 'O' Level Course consists of 4 theory modules (3 compulsory modules and 1 elective module), 1 Practical examination and a Project.

Eligibility
10+2 or ITI Certificate (One Year) after class 10 or Successful completion of the second year of a 3-year Government recognized polytechnic engineering diploma course after class 10. The 'O' level certificate will be awarded only after successful completion of the polytechnic engineering diploma.
Duration
One Year.
Award of Qualification
The students would be eligible for the award of 'O' Level Certificate on successfully qualifying the Theory Examinations of all modules, Practical Examination and the Project. The 'O' Level Certificate is recognized as equivalent to Foundation Level Course by the Government of India for the purpose of employment. A student will also be awarded Higher Diploma in Information Technology by the institute on completion of the course as per institute's norms.

DOEACC Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped & Female Candidates
Under this scheme candidates pursuing the 'O' Level course through an accredited institute are offered scholarship upto Rs.4,000/-, subject to meeting the specified norms.
Admissions
Admission to the course is based on written test/academic performance/interview. A candidate willing to take admission has to apply in the prescribed application form.
Employment Exchange Minutes
"The ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has recognized 'O' level and 'A' examinations conducted by the Computer Society of India under the Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) scheme as equivalent to Foundation course and Advanced Diploma level course, respectively, for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government w.e.f. 1 March, 1995 vide their notification nos. F.18-23/92-TD/. V/TS-IV, dated 1.3.95 and 10.4.96. "In a partial modification dated 10.4.96, "the Government of India has resolved to recognize, w.e.f. July, 1995, the change in the name of the examination-conducting/awarding body for 'O' level and 'A' level courses from Computer Society of India to the Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) Society. In view of above notifications, the passed out candidates with 'O' level and 'A' level qualifications from the DOEACC Society will henceforth be eligible for registration in employment exchanges for job assistance."
